Get drenched and step behind the shower’s curtain where the sterile white tile makes for an intense contrast for this season’s rocker chic trend of all black. This editorial is a feminine take on the hard edged Rock goddess, the drowning “damp-sel in distress,” with sheer bra exposing blouses, lace touches and a splash of tulle. The hardware of gold and silver zippers and chains mimics the utility of the shower.

The plan for the shoot was to evoke the raw and intense emotion that high black and white contrast often does without resorting to shooting in black and white. The extreme white of the tiles brings out a doll-like almost porcelain look in the models skin and truly emphasizes the all black ensembles from look to look. The theme was the drowning rock goddess, wearing lace and mesh, tutu’s and chains while strewing herself all over the shower

After my first experience styling on my own left me with such an amazing feeling of "I can't believe I did it! I was more than ecstatic to have a chance to do it again, and this time outside the studio! With the idea to do a shoot in my parents all white tiled shower I began my hunt to find a killer team who could get the job done right. I later found out that my concept of a shower shoot may have scared away model's/hair and makeup artist's more than intriguing them, giving off the impression that I was putting together some sort of PORNO! Definitely not my intention...and I hope the end result proves that. While the tight space proved to be difficult to maneuver in (I am actually standing in the shower hidden behind the wall--making sure everything is just right!)I absolutely love the contrast achieved by master photographer Ryan Viterbo! All in all, these experiences just leave me wanting more and I cannot wait for whats in store next!

This shoot represents this season's hot trend of nearly nude and blush pink tones. The concept was to bring the beautiful Daisy Buchanan of The Great Gatsby into 2010 with wide brimmed hats, flirty skirts, and a ton of feminine frills.

This was the first time I tackled a photo shoot completely on my own and I must say, no matter how terrified I was before hand, the great feeling of accomplishment and excitement for how it turned out cemented in me that Fashion Styling is truly my dream career! Whether it was shlepping to the mall at 10:00 AM to do a mad sweep of the stores, appearing as a major bag lady as I knocked people with my many purchases on the escalators, or standing silently as MANY a flustered sales associate's were made to refund all my purchases...I truly loved every minute of it!
